Everyone uses it: shops, hotels, tour desks, and some government offices. Install it before you need to message a driver.

LINE MAN, GrabFood, Robinhood

Food delivery. GrabFood and LINE MAN are the names you will see most. foodpanda stopped serving Thailand in May 2025 and pointed its users to Robinhood (foodpanda notice).

Grab and Bolt

Cars and motorbike taxis. Save the airport pickup pin in the app; do not follow touts in the hall.

Maps and Translate

Google Maps offline areas for islands and parks. Translate camera mode for menus and signs.

Thai banking apps

Every major Thai bank has its own mobile banking app for QR (PromptPay) payments, transfers and bills, once you have an account (bank comparison). Visitors without an account can use TAGTHAi Easy Pay for PromptPay QR (details).

Air quality

IQAir or Air4Thai. Important in the North during the burning season (around February to April).

Hotline 1155 (24/7, English) and the official "Thailand Tourist Police" app from the Royal Thai Police (Tourist Police, Thailand.go.th).
